It’s hard to remember what this house looked like the first time I saw it. It was dark, dirty, and depressed. Looking at it now, it screams happiness and light! That vibrant blue that is carried throughout brings me so much joy. We opened the wall from the dining into the kitchen, added french doors off of the dining room, closed off a door in the old kitchen that lead to an illegal addition in the back and extended cabinetry creating a truly breathtaking kitchen. Not to mention BIG. I challenge you to find another house of this size with a kitchen that large! Open shelving in lieu of upper cabinets prevented the kitchen from being overwhelmed by the bright cabinetry. We removed the wall that divided the entryway into the living room, opened up the old hallway and the result was a much bigger and brighter space. Barn doors were added to the master closet and newly expanded master bath. Brushed brass fixtures were carried throughout and I love their pop against the blue! The original full bath was completely reconfigured to allow for a double vanity. The hardwood floors were in excellent condition and just needed sanding and stain. I always enjoy getting to keep original features and breathing new life into them! Exterior paint, new cedar posts and shudders completed the exterior refresh. But out of everything that accent wall in the dining room is my favorite feature by far! It was a rather simple installation that added so much impact. I’m thrilled with the end result and I hope it’s new owners enjoy our labor of love for many years to come!
